Ingredients

  • 80 g Banana

  • 40 g Rolled oats

  • 10 g Dark chocolate (70% minimum)

  • 50 ml Whole milk

  • 1 Medium egg

  • A pinch of salt

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl, mash the banana with a fork until smooth. Add the egg and mix well
  • Stir in the rolled oats and milk . Mix until everything is well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a microwave-safe bowl and cook on high (800 W) for approximately 2–3 minutes, until the center is just set. Let it rest for 1 minute before carefully turning it onto a plate. Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave.
  • Turn the warm cake onto a plate, place the dark chocolate on top and let it melt naturally from the heat of the cake.

Notes

  • Microwave or Oven?
You can also bake your bowl cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 15–20 minutes, or until the center is set.
However, for a single-serving cake, the microwave is the quicker and saves energy. It takes just 2–3 minutes to cook, with no preheating required. There’s no need to heat an entire oven for one little bowl cake!
